I am selling my 2018 Ram Eco Diesel. I have driven it on the highways in Montana as an insurance adjuster. The mileage stats are off and I never did get 27 mpg. Highway driving it's more like 22-24 mpg. The problems I see with the power plant by others hasn't impressed me to say the least. At this point regarding the last safety recall regarding engine fires really gets me especially with dealers not able to access the parts. The waiting period for repairs will put us all at risk of an engine fire that could lead to injuries. All this has caused the trade in, sell-off values to plunge. I hear of members yipping it up when they achieve 100k miles. Most gas engines don't even need a tune up the first 100k miles. My next truck will be a used Silverado with the time proven Duramax. The mileage won't be as good but at least they don't catch fire or blow up for lack of design engineering and last a minimum of 300k miles. We should all enter into a class action regarding losing 50% value the first 1 1/2 years because of the bad publicity.
