I had 25k miles on my 19 ram and the dealership told me the engine was done today and has to be replaced. The mechanic told me he is seeing a lot of these but not until usually around 75k miles. I was hoping with it being a 19 model that the engines would be better. Was I wrong?

At 25k I would have expected much longer out of it but then again these trucks don’t have a strong foundation in the diesel 1/2 ton.

Hope is no longer an option with VM Motori. So yes you were wrong.
Jonathan what's you're plan on the future, Your replacement will carry the same risk. Push FCA to buy back or added warranty, its hideous that owners should be subject to such complacencies.
