We have documented all of those things. For example, RussellandCissy with 433,323 miles (engine and truck) is 100% bone stock. Others have listed their tunes, maintenance intervals, driving habits, etc. Send me a private message if you want to see more information.

I'm thinking if your DEF is flowing, and gets used up, the SCR is clean then you are good.
Our truck was one DEF tank per year, wasn't used much, all short distance, idling etc. My god the worst thing ever for this exhaust treatment system. If the exhaust treatment system is removed, then there is no impact on the engine (back pressure)

If not used for longer drives probably best not to buy one? Is it because a diesel doesn’t do well ingesting its own wastes? I wouldn’t either. Pics some owners post look like mud or a never cleaned bbq grill in the intake area. Thank you EPA! you pos! This is why Ram dropped the ecodiesel.

We don't know why Stellantis dropped the EcoDiesel, but the HPFP recall is the most likely reason. They had to put a stop sale on all vehicles due to the recall.

My 2015 EcoDiesel is completely stock. I use it as my daily driver, which means a lot of short commutes, idle times, etc. I'm at 119,000 miles and the truck runs fine. Highway driving is best for a modern-day diesel, but there's no reason why you can't use it for short commutes. I've been driving my truck 7 miles to work and 7 miles back home since I bought the truck new.

So we lost our engine 2 weeks ago . It only had 66,000 miles on it. We were trying to find an engine and they told us there are 800 of these engines on backorder. We were forced to trade it in. Looking to join a class action suit related to these engines. Anyone have info on this?

I filed a claim with “ Ram Cares “and they agreed to replace my engine on good faith since I was out of time warranty Me paying for labor $2800 I just got my truck back last week. Failed in early October.
Not sure if you are the original owner like me but it’s worth a shot to inquire. When you have a case file you get moved to the front of the engine wait line. Also all recalls repaired with a long block replacement.

That is a long time for your truck to be down. Ours has less than 60000 miles, and today I got an appointment to have the front crankshaft seal replaced. It took the dealership about 3 weeks to get the seal. The truck will be in the shop for a minimum of 2 days. If they find the crankshaft is going bad, they will have to order a new engine. In the meantime, they will provide a rental vehicle for us to drive. The truck is still on warranty, and we have an extended warranty also.
