I've had my rig now for about 26 months and 9,000 miles - I'm in the neighborhood of about 1155xx miles. Today was the first time since I've taken ownership that I received the "Exhaust System Regeneration in Process Exhaust Filter 80% Full" So, this happened half way on my way to work, which is about a 10 mile trip, and to be honest, I can't really divert and take it on a little road trip, so I thought I'd just wait it out, and give it attention on the drive home a different route with highway driving.

Well... I live in the 4th largest city in America, and with that comes the 4th largest rush hour traffic in America. I decided since I couldn't really get over 50, I'll just use the buttons on the wheel and keep the transmission in 5th so I'm turning about 2000 rpm at 50mph. Now keep in mind, I never got any "lights" on the dash since I thought 4th gens have an icon light too - I only got the message in the center display. Long story short, I ended up driving 90 minutes, going home, turning around going back down the farm roads behind my house, turning around, etc etc - with traffic, with a few red lights.

The message never went away. I assume there's a "Complete" prompt eventually, but I never saw it. So I guess I'm driving my 300S for a couple days until I can get it on a legitimate highway, on a weekend, in 8th gear doing 70 for a while.

That full delete is looking a lot more appealing now. 😡

You know what would have been nice? A PROGRESS METER like the instant MPG one to let you know how much longer you should be going. If I needed 3 more minutes at 2000rpm before I threw in the towel tonight, I would have made one more lap. 🤦‍♂️

So after poking around, it appears there is an actual progress update on the display (watched a few people go less than 5 miles and it dropped 10% twice on their displays) ... I guess I will have to get it on the interstate more than 50 before it starts ticking down. 😒

I had that problem all the time while down south in MX where I could not drive over 50 mph! So I would run it in a lower gearing with manual shift button on the steering wheel and keep the rpm at 2,200 rpm I could the burn done in about ten minutes.
Having the EDGE ll is also a great help as it tells you when the burn is on and off and you can initiate a full burn with it if you need to.
I have since done the delete finally and should have done it years earlier what a difference it made! (Stage one only as I am only interested in best mileage). No turbo lag, actually accelerates at HwY speed to easily pass and averages ( real mileage not from dash meter) 31.5 mpg Imperial.

Wow... I'm definitely doing something wrong, I barely make 15 but, it is a lot of stuck in traffic nonsense too 🤯

It took 18 miles, but it finally did the regen. I had to get it up over 70 in 7th before the progress started ticking down, but when it started, it came down pretty quick. It crept up to 90% on the way to fill up before getting on the Interstate, but at least I'm not sweating the display now. It dropped down to 30% then afterwards it said "Regen process complete" ... as if the last 20% didn't matter or took nearly no time at all to finish that last bit. I wonder if I'll get another nearly 9k on the clock before the next one.
