Bad air

Hi everyone
Up in Canada and like the folks in the north east we are getting some bad air from the forest fires. I had to take a drive and as soon as I hit the highway my engine light came on. I do need an oil change but just wondering if the bad air could have an effect on the vehicle?

Great question... I wouldn't think as a bad dirt/dusty road can be worse I would imagine.

Potentially not enough oxygen? That’s a weird one but I’d check the code and see what it is!
