I'm looking at the real possibility that I need to remove one of the cylinder heads on my 05 Ecodiesel to extract a broken glow plug. I'm wondering (for those who have gotten into these engines), are you using the factory camshaft timing tools to reassemble?
VM.10338-1 - Timing Tool, Camshaft (Right)
VM.10338-2 - Timing Tool, Camshaft (Left)
VM.10339 - Tool, Crankshaft Timing
They appear to be about $750-$1000 each, and I have to think there is a universal tool or some other way to avoid spending $2000 for tools I will likely use once. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
