Can you have 2 tune on your ecodiesel

I have a 2017 ram 1500 ecodiesel
My stock truck was getting 24mpg on highway. My Mechanic told me to go with sft. With stage 1 my mpg went down to 17mpg and stage 2 went to 19mpg. Then they sent me stage 2 eco and that started to mess my truck up. it would not start and died while I was driving. I did a full egr Delete. Installed cold Air intake and straight pipe. Went back to stage 2 Now I am getting 20mpg.
I was watching a video on YouTube the guy was running GDR and SFT was getting 27 to 30. With his camper..
I am trying to get 30mpg. What the best Route?

You can't run two tunes for the engine at the same time. I suspect the guy you are referring to had GDE on the ECM and SFT for the TCM.
