Hey guys, I know this has been posted before but simply wanted to ask a question. My truck has this code pop up yesterday while driving to the store after getting to Florida. I am going to see if I can pull the sensor out and clean it and clear the code that way. My question is when we leave for home this coming weekend should I be good to drive 7 hours if I can't get the sensor replaced or cleaned well enough?

As long as you are leaving Florida you should be good to go! Sorry, couldn't resist.... What sensor are you pulling out to clean? Do you have a mileage countdown?

The Diesel particulate matter sensor. Seems like that code is for that sensor. I was going to unplug it and just make sure there is no dust in it.

Well you may be able to clean the sensor, not sure how successful you may be. But clearing the code will require a scanner with DTC delete capabilities. The question regarding the count down message, this code should set a DPF full condition which will initiate a mileage count down until the engine will shut down.

Good luck.
