Clear codes?

My neighbor just bought a 2016 Ram 1500 eco diesel truck. It has a P2202 dtc. I have a basic code reader and we are wondering how to turn on the ignition but not start the truck so I can try to clear the code? It has the push button start stop so i am not sure how to turn on the ignition but not run the engine.

Don't push the brake at the same time, just push the start button and it should not start without the brake engaged.
