Code problems for Throttle, hope this helps someone

2014 Ram (158,000 miles currenlty) About 3,000 miles ago It started missing like water in the fuel. Then just died on the way home. High pressure fuel pump went out (covered under warranty) and in tank fuel pump went out at same time. Dodge would not cover the in tank so I had to replace it on my own. After driving a 1,000 miles or so I got the dreaded codes for Service electric throttle, swirl valves. I changed the intake out (I purchased an intake without the motor on it, big mistake). Still got the codes. I had to change it again with an intake that came with new motor. Lots of hours tied up doing all this. After that it took forever to start up, long cranks. Then it went haywire. All the electronics went crazy. Just sitting there (not running) with it on the On position, it threw up every message possible (low oil pressure, service throttle, service air suspension, service trailer brake control, power steering, service transmission, etc.), gages going crazy, would not start. Locked out of transmission. When hooking up my scanner it went crazy, fans kicking on and gauges going nuts. I change battery (my old one was getting low anyways) and started going over all the harness connectors that I had loose changing the intake. Could not find anything right off.
Finally had to break down and pay the money to have a diesel shop work on it. They worked on it for weeks thinking water or corrosion on some harness connector. Could not fix it. I had it towed to another shop, very high dollar price for this shop but they do good work. They hooked it up and found the problem with in two days. The connector for the throttle had a pin broke down in it, it was shorting over and caused all this.

Now on the drive home from the shop, I got the 90% DPF full message. I drove for 2 hours at 75 MPH. It didn't help one bit. I finally just went home. I could smell diesel, looked under and it's a bad leak. Coming from back of engine block up high on driver side. I've already checked top of engine. Took all the sound foam off so I can get a good look. I cannot see any leaks on the return fuel lines or Tees. I don't see any leaks on the fuel line fittings. While it was running too. I ran my hand around the cross over fuel line on the back, no fuel leaking. Any ideas?

Do you use any fuel or oil additives?

I finally found my fuel leak last night. It was the left side fuel rail. The very back fuel fitting connection on it, at the base on the back side was a hair line crack that you can't see. Just ordered a new one, going to install when it shows up this week.

Archoil or Amsoil cetane boost fuel additive, or others, use something. Because of USA Ultra Low Sulfer Diesel that is our only choice available for fuel. Sulfer lubricates fuel pump, injectors, turbo, and is no longer in our fuel ⛽️ an additive does the lubrication we are missing from ULSD fuel. While adding to fuel cost it’s preventative breakdown of future $$$$$$

Agreed!! I've used Hot Shots Secerts every day additive to the tank every fill up. Once every 6,000 miles I run the diesel extreme., at every oil change I use their stiction eliminator. I have a ram ecodiesel, never had any issues with the particulate filter and pushing 110,000 miles.
Yes, there is a cost, agreed! Preventative for sure. The cost for the many repairs and the added performance and miles per gallon is a no brainer. Remember to change that air filter. I also chang oil and fuel filter every 5,000-7,000 miles.

I think your DPF full issue will resolve itself after you drive it for awhile after replacing that fuel rail. My truck has done that at least once that I can remember and after turning it off over night and driving it again the next day it cleared up. I doubt your DPF, HPFP and lift pump all went bad at the same time. The intake manifold without the swirl flap motor in it requires a delete.
