The fix is to visit your northern brothers at HD diesel for a tune and an EGR delete. I know it may void warranty, but doing so will probably avoid needing a warranty. That may not be the information you want to hear, but it's the best I have. I've not read anything on an FCA fix. Anyhow, good luck with your situation.
It just depends on the driver. A person in it for the long haul, who will turn a wrench to keep it on the road, will more than likely realize the benefits of quieting all the sensors and shutting down the EGR via tunes. That driver will know to shut the barn door before the horses get out, not after. On the other hand, owners who change vehicles like socks and take it to the dealer for a low tire may be less likely to take that step, because if they don't have to pay out of pocket for a repair, then it's no big deal to them. And I get that too. Neither is right or wrong.
