I’m not much for chrome, and so I’m planning on completely replacing my grill, but in the meantime I decided to plasti- dip the one that I had.
I did not do anything as far as prepping aside from cleaning with soap and water and getting it all dry with a hair blow dryer. Then I just started with about 8 coats of spray, and waited about 30 minutes between coats. Then about 4-6 coats of a clear coat. Don’t be in a hurry and do light coats for the first 5 coats so you don’t get runs. Then go on much heavier.Did you prep the surface in any way? Want to make my chrome one black. Did you use the spray cans?

Why not use the DUPLI-COLOR peel off paint products?
