It was a blessing in disguise. Parked the truck in the driveway the evening I got there, started it the next morning and saw the oil pouring out. I just pulled the 2 week old filter and can’t see any cracks or o ring issues. I’ll hang out with friends for a week until I get the new filter and oil. I hell, let’s go surfing!
The large O ring may not have been changed. Suggest replacing the oilfilter and O ring

Glad I sold my 2023! In the US the EPA is ruining all diesels by making them ingest their waste matter. Like a human eating poop!
Should never have sold my 2003 Cummins.
What problems did you have with your 2023?

I was down in Baja California and the plastic oil filter blew off. I lost 8 quarts of oil in about 5 seconds. Ordered a new filter from the Ram dealer in San Jose ($190US) and found the Chrysler MS12991 oil at the auto one in Cabo ($205US). It took about a week and a half to get back on the road.
I just had to go surfing while I waited. I’m glad it happened at my son’s house instead of on the road somewhere.
