engine light and def light on

i have a 2017 longhorn and my check engine light and def light are on . i show 1/2 full on def gauge. The truck is tuned with gde in sept. What can cause this to happen

dont have a scanner. Will go to dealership monday

if u own a eco u definitely need a scanner a scanner is under 50 a dealer charges 100 each time
