Has anyone else had any problems removing the top of the front Fuel Filter Canister on the Ram 3500? I tried using a 28mm six point socket and a long extension. I know its supposed to be torqued to 22.5 ft pounds of torque, but I had to use so much force I broke the Canister top. Upon having it towed to Dodge for repair I was advised because I broke the lid, it was not warranted.
My argument is that if it took that much torque to take it off, it was a factory issue and should be warranted.
Has anyone else had any major issues doing this simple maintenance item?
