Guess when Recalls come out better listen

3 days before I was going to leave to go elk hunting, I received the recall about the rear axle recall. Well the third day of hunting, the ABS service and trailer brake service light came on. I then noticed the left rear axle shaft seal was leaking. I ended my hunt early and headed home. I managed to limb it home on a three and half hour drive. Last 40 miles it was one rough ride. It gets towed to the dealer on monday So no elk and a broken truck.

Ouch. That's a tough way to have to get a recall done. I've never had one actually affect my use or the truck. Hopefully they'll get you fixed up in no time.

well got a rental from the dealer its a hemi bighorn, makes me glad I chose the ecodiesel. Also my tradesman has a lot more options than the rental bighorn. I do like the cup holders in the door. I need to find them for my truck.

ave 16, 12 in town 20 on hwy. i like the torque of the diesel. I bet the hemi would be fun in a car

ya i dont like when the cylinder shut down happens, you can kind of feel it happen, like there is a miss. and yes I am driving it like a rental lol

Glad to hear it's all fixed up. I guess I got lucky with my late 15 and missed the axle lot that caused the recall. At least it's not known equipment with the recall for my truck anyways.

Lucky you didn't experience a total failure and lose a wheel.
