I just purchased a 2016 Ram 1500 that needs a new engine. The former owner said the oil seals? went out and dumped the oil. Apparently he didn't notice it in time and the oil pressure switch didn't work because the engine is now tight. So now I'm looking for a new engine to put in it. Any suggestions? Should I be looking at a used, new, or rebuilt? I'm thankful there are forums out the with a lot of information.

I have no idea how that compares to a dealers price right now... other option is a used motor from a junk yard..
