I bought a new Ram Ecodisel in 2016, it was a big buck truck, I was looking for a economical truck to pull a 5 wheel, the dealer said there would be NO problem with this truck pulling anything, then we went looking for a new 5th, the RV dealership put the breaks on what we could pull legally. We ended up getting a trailer that was sized to the truck. The truck ran great, no problem,, all the power I needed.
When not towing, the mileage was so so, maybe 22. As time went on , the check engine light came on , on checking the issue, the water was low, ( no leaks ) taking it in to the dealer, they had it for 3 days, couldn’t find any leaks , top off coolant the sent me off, months later same thing, then the recall foe emissions, the fixed it , mileage went down, and the throttle response was scary bad. I complain and the told me there would be a new recall coming soon.
Long story short, 80000 miles the turbo went, dealer has had it about a month, got it all back together, doing a test and the engine came apart, now I waited on a new engine ( all under warranty) thank goodness.
The rebate for the emissions, what a JOKE, everything has be sent in ( months ago ) keep saying they need more, and that I’m the 2nd owner, this truck was New, never register.
Any suggestions?
