High flow filter increase mpg?

Has any one replaced the factory air filter with a high flow aftermarket like a K&N and seen increased MPG? I was considering buying one for my truck. I would want to get the style that goes in the factory air box, not the cold air intake style that replaces the factory air box.

If so what were your results?

Thanks.

Typically with the modern computers you may notice very small acceleration difference but that's it...with the computers they are setup to run a certain way and that's it so if you think you are slamming more air in there then my theory is the truck is just going to put more fuel actually hurting economy...just my theory I'm no genius...just stick with an oem filter or a high end equivalent such as Donaldson or fleetguard...

I have a K&N drop in that I previously used on my '14 Hemi. It made a big difference on the ED, 6-8 mpg more lol. J/K.
