How do I service the DEF system in a 2018 Dodge?

If it is not causing any issues, just drive it. When the system gets loaded up with around town driving, it will diosplay a message saying you need to get it out on the highway (which burns off the crap that builds up I presume in the catalytic converter). Takes about 10-20 minutes freeway driving in mine and it;'s all sorted until next time.

Take out your map sensor, and egr diffuser tube and clean them. Make sure you have mass airflow sensor cleaner and pipe brushes.

I am in the process of rebuilding my engine. When it goes back toegther, the difuser tube will be welded closed!

I understand just blinding off/welding up the EGR pipe will trip a code as it looks at mass air flow, O2 level and then knows EGR is blocked.

And if anyone gets to visit I highly recommend it, especially if you are outdoor enthusiast. We spent 2 weeks on the South Island and freedom camped, hiked Freans Joseph glacier, crused Milford sound, toured Christchurch and rode the luge, then zip lined.

Hmmm OK, thanks for letting us know. I will check with EoC, they were the ones that told me it was OK to do. I'll let ya áll know when i find out.

I have EOCs stage 2. It deactivates all emissions systems. So you should be able to do what you want with the EGR and it won’t throw a code.
