2015 RAM LARAMIE CREW CAB 4X4. 25,000 miles and trouble free. I did notice a fuel mileage drop from 26 to 24 mpg during very cold weather here in the South. Does anyone use a fuel additive on a regular basis to help keep the injectors clean? If so what brand and why? Thanks.

I don't run any.. it's just the winter blend that cuts mileage. I lose 2-4 MPG on winter blend.

2015 Laramie ,4774 miles . Will run only 300- 400 feet before shutting down . Dealer has had 4 weeks , replaced various parts as computer shows . Still not repaired . Says they do not know problem , doing a " Star case " with Chrysler , whatever that is . Will probably trade when I get it back .
Loved truck , great ride , power etc . Anyone know if Ford F150 coming with diesel ?
Truck still in shop. Chrysler denies all responsibility although Donaldson filter states different ( mycleandiesel.com ) . Been in shop 2 months .

I have 15000 miles but no problems. I'm happy with my ecodiesel so far!![/QUOTE]

I am a farrier and I had high hopes when I bought this truck for my work vehicle. I have 50,151 miles on my 2014 tradesman model ecodiesel. It's has been a terrible truck and Chrysler customer service has been even worse. At around 20,000 miles I think. I began seeing oil in the coolant and took the truck to the dealer. Since that time the truck has been at the dealer 8 or 9 times for the same issue and yet to be resolved. In the first year I owned the truck it spent approximently 2 months down sitting at the dealer being fixed, and at least another 2 weeks time since the Nov 2015 anniversary. The dealer has put a new transmission cooler, new oil cooler, all new cooling hoses, been flushed around half a dozen or more times, and there is still oil sludge rapidly building up in the cooling resorvior. It's at the point now where it is almost a weekly appointment for me to take it in and have it flushed and checked for where the oil is coming from. The answer from the dealer and the engineers at Chrysler has been, it is residual oil left in the system from the oil cooler failure. After 6 flushes+ In addition the amount of oil is building up faster and faster between times I take it in??? I don't think so. If that weren't bad enough I'm now sitting on the side of the road with my abs light and traction control light on, smoke pouring out of the rear passenger wheel well, and gear oil all over the rotor breaks inside the wheel and all under the truck and there was a loud grinding sound and shaking. I'm guessing a rear axle seal and bearing failure. This doesn't even touch on the business this truck has cost me; the time of mine it's wasted; and the fact that Chrysler service has been the worst I have ever dealt with. I would never recommend this truck or any Chrysler product after this experience. It's a total lemon. Very dissatisfied. Attached is photo taken just now 3/20/2016 4:18pm. It was at the dealer on 3/07/2016 checked for leakage and flushed and return to service with "no leak good to drive". Good luck to everyone with low mileage. Hope this isn't a glimps into your future

Get rid of it. I'm sure there are legal actions you can take. If mine becomes anything close to that, she's gone.

Lots of people are quick to claim 'best truck ever' with these Rams. I like my truck a lot, and it's treating me good so far. But the test is time. If I get to 100k without a hitch, then I might give it an Addaboy. I'll still wait out the 150k mark to pin it the 'best truck ever' tho.

I Have a 2015 Laramie with 9000 km on it only issue so far has been when it depowered 3 times and problem on message center was about electronic throttle needing to be serviced. Scary part of it depowering it did it in heavy traffic and luckily I was in the right lane and could get out of the way. Dodges answer was to put the winter front on. was ok until weather got warm and I removed the front. Had an issue again so going in for service asap. Love the truck otherwise as great fuel mileage and tows great.

Welcome to the site Ray! Let us know what the dealer tells you.. I would be scared myself knowing the truck could lose all power with a risk of getting run over.

Can't add anything dramatic. 42,000 miles and nothing unusual to report.

Still getting 26-27 mpg with GDE and EGR turned off. That's normal operation. I do better if I just drive on a trip without towing. Don't want a jinx so I won't post this. ???

12000 before it started idling roughly at times. It's been at the dealership 3 times, they have replaced my egr valve and egr cooler. It did not help. I really love the truck, but I'm starting to get really tired of this issue. Hope a fix is in the near future.

.
2014 ram long horn built 7/14 33,000 miles. Had the cat replaced at 17,000 and the engine blew on the bottom end February 23 at 32,00 miles. Just got it back 7 days ago and had the check engine light come on with 32 miles on new engine. They put a new sensor in now the A/C won't blow cold. Had some other minor issues but the engine is a real concern. Ram forum has over 50 of the same failures and I ran into a couple at the dealership. Doesn't sound good.

I am wondering what the conclusion was with your truck. I'm looking for more information from people who have contaminated fuel issues, your post was the only on i saw that mentioned it.

28k and no issues at all related to the build or powertrain of the truck. Just found out I've got no engine Warranty though so I don't know whether to dump it and take the loss on trade in or start buying the things to prevent the need for a Warranty. Egr tune oil cooler delete etc possibly dpf delete...

Any advice?

Figure dumping 3 Grand into everything could eliminate most of the need for an engine Warranty but that being said it's 3 grand
