I just picked up a 2018 1500 Bighorn with 29K miles and was wondering how to check the life left in the fuel filter.

Unless you have proof the previous owner or dealer did it, I’d just replace it. I think scheduled maintenance says change at 30k doesn’t it ? I would change the oil and filter too unless previous owner or dealer can verify that the proper oil was used on the last oil change !
