Hp Tuner vs SFT.... GA to FL tuners plz

New here,
I have a 14 JGC ecodiesel

Plagued with the def issues so you know where Im heading with this.

I originally reached out to gde and got the whole shampoo about "can't do that"

Sucks a shop had to go through that ordeal..

Anyways,

I am very use to my Ecutek tuner with my infiniti.

But these ecodiesel tunes are like finding the holy grail.

Firstly

HpTuners, it seems to be very much like ecutek

Buy a obd dongle some credits and let irr rip.... well, not so fast, gotta find a tuber for that.

Well their website does not list tuners or authorized shops...

So wtf, buy a product and ummmmmmm, yeah?


SofaKing looks cool, but umm. What device do you use?

Does anyone know any shops in the Georgia area, or Florida Area..... or anywhere within 200 miles. Im willing to drive to a shop that sells everything and tunes there. I hate having to play the pingpong game.

Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you all.

Pardon the noob questions

This device do i have to keep it on ?

Say example the banks has a stupid gauge..


I dont want to know what the car is doing, should i want to datalog, then i'll plug it in and make a pass. Just want a simple tune, no b.s. no gauges needed.

Are any tunes like this or are they needed? (Gauges)

Nope you just connect it to get your factory tune, then you will plug it into your computer to send them your stock file, they email you your tuned file, plug the tuner in, upload tune to your truck then your done!

Great, same as Ecutek.

Anyway can the tuner send maps like

Map 1 valet
Map 2 stage 1 with emms
Map 3 stage without emms
Map 4 boom tune
Map 5 oem.


On my Q50 i can switch between maps with my cruise control button.

Press n Hold Cancel and gives you 5 secs to flip up or down.

The tach moves 1k 2k 3k 4k 5k referecing which map you selected.

Can these tunes be like that? Or no, have to pull out the laptop and upload each time.

Your tune is on their handheld device. The specifics would need to be asked to SKT as far as valet mode and what not, my tunes on my handheld are

I hate these handhelds, are there pc options?

As is i carry my laptop everwhere especially when i am trailering the cars to the track.
