Hi,
I have a 2015 Ram 1500 ecodiesel, 46k miles and today I got the CEL. I scanned for the trouble codes and I got P0426 and P0428. I was not be able to clear the codes. After that I checked the sensors and the Inlet DPF Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor (C) shows 999.94. Does anybody here had this problem before?

welcome 1000.00 for a sensor is robbery

The 999.94 C is the temperature the computer shows for the sensor.

that's better they will replace it when the sh-- hits the fan for free just got to hang in there

But it's out of warranty or that one is under the Federal Emission Warranty for the catalytic converter?

as long as u r in usa it should warranty

Yes, I am in US. So I should call the dealer and make an appointment and let them to deal with it?

when csin bama comes on line he will post more about this I think it is guarantee for 80.000 miles

I went to the dealer and they told me that the FEW expires at 50k or after 3 years... so my truck is 2015 and they told me that the sensor is not covered under the warranty....

Does anyone knows the location of the sensor, maybe I can change it by myself. Bank 1, sensor 1? Thanks,

The FEW for a Cat is 8 years / 80k miles. A sensor might be shorter.

I guess....I am thinking to change it by my self.... but I looked under car....and we have so many sensors....I want to make sure I will change the one I supposed too. :). Does anybody knows how much the dealer charge for that work?

got the same issue. Which sensor is the Catalyst Temperature sensor? Did you find the location? Did you find a part number?

EGT 1 is on the exhaust manifold connector, connecting the turbo. Here are the other sensors
