Yes well, FCA Canada is giving all of us the middle finger, I have dealt with them a number of times because of the terrible eco diesel problems that Chrysler has just decided not to repair because its a lot cheaper to just stick it to your customers.
After dealing with FCA Canada's customer service people you will just be in total shock at their level of contempt, that their open screw you attitude hasn't led to Chrysler going bankrupt (Again) .
They don't deserve anyone's business!

I am discovering how terrible Fiat Chrysler's customer "don't" care is. I told the service adviser that I did not want or authorize the emissions reprogramming when I dropped my truck off at Oxford Chrysler in London Ontario both in December and in March. They ripped me off for a water pump 2500.00 CAN, but the loss of coolant problem persisted. The dealership had my truck for 2 months... due to a leaking egr. I just got it back on April 28th, 2020. THE DEALERSHIP DID THE V16 emissions recall without my permission after I had told them that I did not want it done. It cannot be undone. The service advisor first told me that it was done in error... i told him that i wanted it the way it was before... three hours later he calls again insisting that in fact they had not performed the emmissions recall (lies). I had in the meantime lodged a complaint with FCA customer care... the following day I received a response that in fact the V16 emissions patch had been done and it cannot be reversed. FIAT CHRYSLER DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!! They washed their hands of the issue and said that they do not get involved in their dealer disputes and that their system showes my vehicle is up to date... I have the email from Fiat Chrysler Instructing me that the dealer would not do unauthorized work if I told the dealership that I did not want the Emmissions recall done. SLUGGISH PERFORMANCE AND POORER FUEL ECONOMY.

I wish the Merchant law group would offer some type of update as to where things stand in the class action law suit in Canada. I will have to think about finding a second tuned computer for my truck as the delayed pedal response especially when its cold is dangerous.

Here is the settlement in the USA. I hope you can open it.. Canadians should launch a class action law suit against FCA. Anyone know a lawyer willing to take this on ??? Im sure we would get every Ecodiesel owner in Canada 100% on board. Its disgusting that they are allowed to offer this to the USA , compensation and a massive extended warranty. Canadians got ZERO...not even a part covered. Its the SAME TRUCK !!
Your right , I spent literally hours on the phone with FCA customer service and no leniency or compassion whatsoever, just NO. What group or person in Canada signed off on this anyway??

What's disgusting Canada continue support of whining.... Your GOV is totally supportive of just about every extreme view of socialism, Yet you wine when you are the victim. Go get your class action, it will fail.

Yes , their are many righteous Canadians, Ban together and kick the misfits out of your country back to Europe or wherever they came from, USA already is full of misfits please don't send them Here.

Sell your 3.0VM is the best advice I can give. Its NOT FCA its FIAT VM EUROPE were your battle should begin, members of the American Branch begged Fiat not to bring that engine to AMERICA.

I will be getting rid of this lemon. Brand loyalty and re-purchase intent is completely lost here from my perspective.

We are no different than any other country that has misfits within. We too have a right to voice our opinion on what we feel is unjust, not whining, especially when we are not treated the same , with the same product, same issues, same manufacturer, regardless of where it was manufactured.

With 10x the size of our population you have way more clout and voices to get manufacturers to do something. The same with vehicle warranties. There is no need for them to match what a US purchaser gets with our smaller purchasing power.

Hey Chrysler Canada also known as the FCA. When you want to charge 600 for a intake hose to fix what your vehicle caused. When I only need a new snap ring. When your EGR Valve fails it is a failure by FCA. In some states they have to fix anything EGR related at FCA's Expense . While us Canadians have to pay to get it fixed after you so called mechanics said it was done on mine. So to anyone out there who is thinking of getting a ECO Ram 1500 or there jeeps with the same 3.0L engine. Beware of this engine code P0402 EGR excessive flow . As it can lead to a fire inside the intake Manifold .. I did get lucky to catch it in the early stages so with some minor damage .

As for the FCA it is like you as fiat chrysler n crap what ever you want to call it .. You should be charged for a tempted murder. An for every one of those 3.0L eco diesels that caught fire due to same issue ..

As for the recall mine got it back in april 2020 your mechanics put a 2017 egr cooler in it. It shouldn't matter if it was done for a previous owner or not . It was done by your mechanics therefore you as the FCA I consider you responsible

Highly suggest a delete if in Canada. After failure at just 50K kms I called around found a recommended shop specializing in diesel work,. Dropped in a used engine and it's been a different truck. Drives great (no lag), tows and fantastic economy. No DEF required, lighter weight after all that hardware pulled.

Unfortunate that this is the case and air-quality has to suffer but I use it part-time and cycle lots to offset!

So why not point out to the rest of you. In hope that if we band together we could win. There eco ram due to its egr failure is no bull.. It can cause fires and it can cause internal explosions. In stead of replacing just an EGR. I might be replacing intake manifold so far no codes .. But I do have to replace both the turbo charged lines Due the internal explosion. I feel like we should be suing them for attempted murder .. Explored into the egr to find it 100% clogged with soot .. With that being said it is cheaper to do a egr delete then it is to replace it.

This is what the

Thank you for your email. Sorry to hear about the difficulties you're having.

You could try contacting Transport Canada as they assist with bringing recalls out. Their website is https://tc.canada.ca/en . Other than that, you may try the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery at https://www.ontario.ca/page/ministry-public-business-service-delivery .

Hopefully one of these avenues work and if not, you should obtain a legal opinion and look into pursuing the issue further civilly through Small Claims Court. If you don't have a legal representative that can provide you with an opinion, you may try contacting the Law Society Referral Service at www.findlegalhelp.ca .

Legal this, legal that. I've been to small claims a few times before.
My approach these days is to roll with it, find a solution, pay the bucks and move on with life.

The used engine, drop in and delete was under $20K CAD.
