What is the weight of the trailer?
I think the new ones are rated for around 9k towing but not sure.

I haven't towed anything that heavy, about the most I've done is about a ton, it doesn't even know it's there.

I have towed 5 tons of bobcat (skid steer) and trailer with no issues. I found manual shift mode made it much happier starting and slowing. It tows my 2ton boat and 1.5 ton trailer with zero issues. Make sure you have trailer brakes though. I wouldn’t pull that much without them.

Also, If your not equipped with air ride I would look into 1000hd bags to level your rig out.

I would never recommend any Pulling over 7000+, I've done it, in fact I move machines in excess of 250-500K..

The Question is should you do it, Maybe in perfect conditions at speed below 65MPH, Here' My wagon at 7500LBS I pulled it 1 time on snow packed road... That was the only time. I also respond to certain road cashes and many times the drivers skill was lacking couple with its OK and NOT enough truck for the wagon in tow.

Your truck Curb ground Pressure 6000-6200LBs it simply not enough Iron to pull loads (Van trailers) in excess of that.

I have an older 29 foot travel trailer without pullouts, the pullouts really add weight, it weighs 7800lbs and I towed it with my old 1996 extended cab Ram pick up with the 360 cubic inch or 5.9L Magnum engine, 4 speed transmission, I towed it once per year for a family reunion, a lot of reving between gears, then I bought a 2011 Ram Outdoorsman with the 5.7 Hemi with the 3.92 gearing and 5 speed with an extra step down second gear, in 2013 they changed the programming and called it a 6 speed, it towed the trailer with less effort, I now have a 2020 Rebel Crew cab with the Eco diesel and 3.92 gearing, my 2011 was suppose to be with the 5L Cummins V8 but that deal was scraped when Chrysler went bankrupt, the new company FCA had their own diesels, for my Rebel the 3 L V6 VM Motori, although I did not tow my 29 foot trailer yet, but I did tow my 16 foot enclosed trailer for two 200 mile trips, it pulls that trailer with such ease compared to my other 2 trucks, the 4th gear is equivalent to the 2nd gear in my 2011, the small change between gears makes it so much easier from the start up to highway speed, on the first 200 mile trip, I kept my speed around 60 to 65mph and got 14 mpg, on the way back I drove at 55 to 60 mph and got 16 mpg, that is pretty impressive, my 2011 Ram did 10 mpg at best pulling the same trailer on the same trip. My Rebel is rated at 9750lbs towing so I would be legally able to tow my travel trailer. I don’t know what features your truck has but I hope this give you an idea of it’s capabilities. Just finished a 500 mile trip over mountain passes and across desert towing my Rockwood 2612 ws. (6800 lbs loaded)- 36 mph winds and >100 ft visibility for a while! (fires and dust) 13.2 mpg
Had no issues!

I pull my 2012 travel trailer 9600 loade probablly am a bit over 8500 loade put air springs on back of my 2016 for leveling ties it like nothing took it 4 hours through mountain pass did well and my truck only has 355 wish it had 392 didn't think to check when I bought it 4 months ago
