IMG_0997.JPG My wife just beat her best MPG's. 480 miles and she had it up to 31.4 MPG. Is it true that the average MPG's is only for the last 50 miles? Last picture shows 31.3. Just turned 10,000 miles on this trip.

My '15 has the 3.92 rear 34 " tire and front end level and 4x4. I do probably a 60/40 mix of highway and city. I average 22mpg.
I have found that I get different milage depending on the fuel company. I get like 2 mpg more with Exxon. Go figure
I just did a 5 hour trip to Plymouth ma pulling a 22' tt and averaged 14.2 mpg

I've got 39000 on my 2015 Big Horn, my mileage was better when new by 2-3 mpg, after all the latest flashes and updates the last year on my normal everyday local driving, rural roads and short highway, I'm averaging 22 mpg, the other day went for a short trip mostly interstate at 75 mph my round trip average was 25 mpg. My best was a year ago on a Sunday drive in the mountains (Adirondacks) just putting around almost never over 45 mph, pulling over in wide spots to let traffic by and just sight seeing, up and down hill not trying to drive easy or actually paying attention to my driving style and we got 29 mpg the one and only time I have averaged over 25 mpg.

I have tried slowing down and extended driving at lower speeds, somewhere around 63 where the Aero kicks in or slightly lower after that, I've pulled over 700 miles on an entire tank rounding out with 29-30MPG but some metro driving, an hour or two idling, and 1500# or more payload the return half.

But every day or spirited driving would Merrit me a strong 22-24mpg, now with aggressive tires I see 21 as a pretty solid figure 18-19 with excessive mixed towing and city. I've done whole tanks highway to get about 25 but regardless off all this I don't think I'm really in a red zone. I have full MT tires and I average out what a GM or Ford are grinning ear to ear to see on an extended highway trip every few months.

I am also well aware if I wanted road manners, minimal Tire noise, and mpg from minimized rolling resistance, to be driving a car. I could go back to highway tread passenger tires and boost an additional ~4mpg. And get back to the top end of epa rating.
