My first error code... less than a week of ownership.

I just bought a 1500 2017 Laramie Eco Diesel this past Tuesday. I got in this morning to head out to the range and the check engine light came on after maybe a hundred yards of driving.

A friend put his diagnostic tool on it and found, "P050E(3 of 3) Generic Permanent... Cold Start Engine Exhaust Temperature Too Low."

I called the dealer... they threw their hands up and said I'd have to come in. They have no time until Tuesday... and I'll be going out of town Tuesday through Friday.

Am I okay driving this thing long distance (a few hundred miles)? It's a really strange code. My mechanic buddy said he'd never heard of it.

Thanks, BoostN! That makes me feel a lot better about heading down to the coast.

Error is apparently fixed on its own. Odd, but a win either way.
