Wrong! The Z46 recall, Ecodiesel HPFP replacement does not include a flash.Once they flash your ECM with the updates required for the fuel pump, you can expect your fuel economy to drop to 20-21mpg
The HPFP replacement will not affect your mileageI have a 21 with 43 k on it , no problems, supposed to go in on the July 12 for the high pressure fuel pump replacement , i have gotten 30.1 mpg hand calculated , hope the recall doesn't effect it , i hope i can be an asset to the forum
No flash required. I have a 23 Limited and my fuel mileage stayed the same.Once they flash your ECM with the updates required for the fuel pump, you can expect your fuel economy to drop to 20-21mpg.
Hey John. I had mine in to the dealer for the egr cooler recall. They flashed mine and fuel economy went for a crap and it was a dog. I bought the Green Diesel Engineering tune which is EPA compliant and that restored the power and economy. The HPFP replacement will not affect your mileage
Good, that's a great tuneHey John. I had mine in to the dealer for the egr cooler recall. They flashed mine and fuel economy went for a crap and it was a dog. I bought the Green Diesel Engineering tune which is EPA compliant and that restored the power and economy.
Is the warranty still valid with the Green Diesel tune
Depends on what you mean by "it would tell them what’s going on".When the dealer connects to the truck computer I would think it would tell them what’s going on
It would not automatically tell them that "the factory tune was removed and then reinstalled". If the dealer was suspicious, they would have to search for the number of times the ECU had been flashed. That would tell them someone other than the dealer has been into the ECU, but not what was done.Wouldn’t it tell you that the factory tune was removed and then reinstalled?
Thanks for the compliment but I'm not that knowledgeable. I don't have an answer. If it's a 4WD it is probably an alignment issue.Hi John, as long as I have you and you seem to be pretty knowledgeable. Do you have any thoughts on rear tires wearing more on the inside?
