JUST bought a 2017 ecodiesel, crew cab leather Laramie, and love it. First 400 mile trip, averaged 23.6 overall.. pretty good by my standards, but a lot lower than the advertised 28.

Thats truthful MPG, Was that HC or L-O-M? My 2015 Avg 23-25MPG Hwy @70MPH HC, it did 30MPG once HC @65MPH with 20-30MPH tail wind, it Avg Mixed 17 +-.05 MPG. If you went over 70MPH it dropped fast even down to 20MPG

HC or L-O-M... No 6200lbs vehicle is going to get 27.8 @ 80MPH unless its for 100 miles across ND I94 with a 40-50MPH tail wind.

I have no idea what HC or LOM means. All I know is what the trip computer was showing. Melbourne Fl to Lake Charles LA is pretty darn flat, and 27.8 was my average…

L-O-M = Lie O Meter, HC = Hand calculated. You used the LOM and conditions, and variables affect its reading and in many High MPG claims its simply not accurate. So Your 27.8 has little to No meaning to Me and 1000s of others. Next time you want to pass on questionable MPG I suggest HC method.

I love Niel Young, One of my favorite Musicians Growing up, I hear Ya h60.

The 3.0 held the blue ribbon on MPG until 2019 when the Ram Gas MPG jump 1.5 to 1.75 MPG and now with Gas Being $0.60-0.50 less it lost one of its strongholds MPG, H60 is that 2wd MPG? , I could see 25/26 MPG @80 with 2wd....

He’s still one of my favorites as well! I guess I was just really pleased with the improvement the GDE tune gave me. The first road trip I took, the trip average showed 23.2, and that was up to the mountains in VA. I clearly put too much faith in the onboard computer, lol.

Keith, knows what he's doing when it comes to tuning the 3.0 Thats for Sure and certain. H60, I support the additional HP drivability that honorable tuning provides....The MPG over time yields very little MPG and will not cover the Additional $$$ investment. The ZF-HP has proven to be robust and trust worthily trans when additional HP is added. I suggest following My advice on 1 Gallon Distilled water to 2-2.5 Gallons DEF, That aids in DEF Pump / Injector life, It happens that the Urea chamber in the Ram 1500 DSL can plug the DEF Injector. Your 2017 may NOT have the quality sensor, So it up to you if you want to experiment down to 2014-16 that don't have the sensor those owners can drop to 10% levels 1 Gallon DEF to 2 Gallons Distilled water error free. if you trigger the rationale code on DEF levels just add More DEF.

Yes, the GDE tune dramatically improved the drivability, especially the throttle response which was borderline dangerous. I will try out your suggestion for def. Thanks!

H60, I destroyed All My Neil Young albums, tapes everything, I'm done with X people continue hatred towards others base on the Jab......... Live Rust is dead as far as I'm concerned. These entertainers, actors banks accounts in the future are My targets. I don't need Music, TV, Sports, Media , etc, to enjoy all the awesome things life provides.
