Hello all! I am soooooo happy to have found this forum! I just bought a 2014 Longhorn Laramie with 112,000 miles on it. Mainly a daily driver for me but will be using it for some light off-road adventures……hunting, fishing, hiking. Mainly logging road sort of thing…..nothing major. I would love to hear the best advice a noob like me should do first with the truck. Everything is stock except for some cosmetic things on the exterior. I am very intrigued on the whole tune and delete discussion. I live in the state of Washington……SW part to be exact. I’ve been told by a friend that it is illegal to delete and hard to find anybody to do it since it is a $10,000 fine? Anyway, I would love to learn to delete myself if that is truly the best thing to do. I would love to maximize the MPGs since I do commute a ways each week. Thank you all!

Welcome to the forum.
I am a fan of tuning but not of deleting, so I'm no help there. Do some searching, there's lots of info.
I do the fishing and logging road thing every year in eastern Oregon with my brothers. Used to elk hunt, now it's camera shooting and trout fishing.

What part of eastern Oregon do you fish? I’m from Yakima

I ram my 2014 untouched from 113k to 136ish with no issues(well had a glow plug failure). Tuned first stage egr off until 156k with no issues. After it sat at the body shop for 6 months it started throwing emission codes so I went stage 2. As long as your minimum drive to work is 30 or so minutes on open highway I don’t see any reason to delete, just tune. I promised myself I wouldn’t delete till issues arose and I stuck to it. The process is really straight foreword if you have a few sockets and wrenches once you get the tune and parts.

Oregon's biggest tree is right near that park. Just love their Ponderosa forests and how they maintain them.
