2017 EcoDiesel with approximately 40.7K miles. I noticed the fan running at a higher speed under normal driving conditions and outside temperatures in the low 50’s. I had a spike on the temperature with the warning light coming on for overheating, but then it immediately fell back to the midpoint on the temp gauge which is still higher than normal. I popped the hood and the reservoir tank was low, but not empty. I recently had the oil changed and the radiator reservoir was topped off, so I know I’ve lost some coolant. I’ve dropped it off at the dealership, but they haven’t been able to get to it. yet. There is a recall on the EGR cooler, so that’s my first thought for a potential failure. The dealer indicated that if it was the RGR cooler, there’s currently no inventory and they don’t project to have any for some time. If it’s the cooler and none are available, do you proceed with an EGR delete? For those that have done the delete, do you have any regrets? Which company would you suggest to go with for the delete and tune? Thanks for your input!
