REMOTE START

My remote start, starts the vehicle then 10 seconds later shuts down, my service engine light is on.. would you think this goes hand and hand. I realize when my truck is low on fuel, with 50 miles til empty the remote start will disengaged.

Yes, the light will only allow it to run for 10 secs. That's factory parameters.

BoostN is right. Is the check engine light related to emissions?

Had this happen to me the first month after purchasing the truck. Turns out that eventually my battery died. Turned out to be an improperly tightened nut on the charging wire for the alternator.
As a result of the battery charge going down, the system was able to detect that remote start should not engage. Since the repair, that has not been any further issues with my remote start..
