Possibly this has been discussed. I have searched and found nothing yet. Wondering if you were to put block off plates on EGR but have 1/4 hole drilled in plate would it allow ECM to work as normal but lessen amount of soot going into intake. I live in Cal. And this state sucks when it comes to smog mods.

It will eventually trigger rationale codes. In OEM operation it's a dirty filthy engine. Some do well in 90%+ Hwy Use, Mixed driving will at some point cost $$$$ in repairs.

Another idea was to fabricate another pipe going to intake and run it into a particulate filter can similar to a catch can, then run it back to intake. Not sure what size micron filter I would need. This would remove the soot and not change EGR system. When code appears change filter. Hopefully someone else has some out of the box ideas.
