Schrader Valve to Nowhere

Hey folks,
When I bought my truck a couple months ago, I noticed a Schrader valve on the bumper where the license plate should reside.
The salesman wasn't positive, but said it was likely an easy way for the previous owner to keep pressure in the spare as it might have a finicky TPMS. I traced the tube with my hand as far as I could, which wasn't real dar, but went towards the spare. I haven't thought much about it since.
Finally got my tags and I have to relocate the valve. It does NOT go towards the spare.
I followed it until the rear axle, over the shocks and lost it. Then, noticed a similar tube on the other side, going the other way, but it was not attached to anything at the bumper.
I looked at the old dealer sticker and there was nothing about air shocks. I've attached a couple of pictures. Y'all got any ideas what this might be?

Could have been for airbags that the previous owner removed before trading or selling.
Airbags?
I'm a total noob at a lot of this diesel/serious trucking stuff.
Is this something to do with suspension and/or ride height?

For additional stability when pulling or loading. Jolene Us the search function or DuckDuckgo.com on how they do this.

Put air to it with an air compressor, if the truck goes up they are still installed, if you hear it leak out from under the frame then they are gone. I put a set inside the coil springs of mine and it looks like they go nowhere also lol

Yes most likely that is from airbag or air shock suspension. I had air shocks on a Van in the 90's. And that is where the air inlet was for them.

My guess is something like this... https://www.ebay.com/itm/162723504169 mine had them too and in fact I replaced them with these very bags when installing the lift springs since one of the old bags was damaged. these decrease the sag when loaded down. not really for lifting the vehicle just stiffening the rear suspension.

These go inside your stock springs. the heavy duty ones are sometimes black and there are blue bags out there too.

DONT overfill them if you have this type since they will rupture easily if you do.. I think like 35psi is max if I remember right and you should only have like 5-10psi when not loaded or in use.

My spare doesnt have a tpms in my 2015 BTW...

Good info. Thanks.

Yeah, I don't think mine has TPMS for the spare. I think it was just a guess from the salesman (there are some vehicles that have it, though).
