I got the good ole “ service DEF system engine will not restart in xxx miles see dealership” message. I’ve changed the pump and the injector. How do I get the code to go away? Is there a special computer or button I need to push? Or do I have to go pay the dealership to do it ?

I know this is an old post but I thought I would reply.
You need to get a BT OBDII adapter and also an app for your phone to reset the code. A decent app is Torque. It is available for Android and Apple phones. The OBDII Blu Tooth adapters are readily available through various on-line vendors, just make sure it's compatible with Torque or whatever app you decide to go with. You can then read the CEL codes and reset them.

I had the same message show on my 2015 EcoD. After some research I removed the DEF injector and cleaned it with hot water. Replaced the injector after a few miles the warning went away and has not been on again. I have the date and mileage on record in a file but it is not available just now.
