I went to Thunder Dodge (Bartow, Fl) in June of this year. I brought my 2016 Ram Eco-Diesel in earlier this year due to a malfunctioning DEF pump and tank. I was told my software would be updated after the repair. I researched the update and saw numerous complaints about losing power and fuel mileage after the update. I was assured, by the service manager, Jason, that this problem had been corrected. I agreed to the update. I don’t drive much so I hadnt had a chance to compare. Last week I drove to Texas and back. My truck has lost power, and instead of the 30-31 HWY MPG I was accustomed to, I was lucky to get 20 MPG. I feel I have been intentionally misled in order to have an update put on my truck. And with the price of diesel at an all time high, this is a significant misrepresentation of the facts. I am out a substantial amount of money and driving an underpowered truck. I would like to hear some plausible input to rectify the situation. I feel my truck has been devalued by this misrepresented update.
