Thinned out oil problems

Hi all i was traveling down the highway when my ecodiesel all of a sudden a high oil temperature warning came up on the display. The oil temp read 295 with 20 psi. I checked the oil and it was at the top of the indicator part of the dipstick and it seemed to be very thin. After waiting for it to cool down for 30 minutes i moved it when i started i had oil temp of 190 and 32 psi at idle and drove the truck a mile and the oil pressure dropped to 18 psi with an oil temp of 195.
If yall have any ideas as to what might have caused this i would appreciate it.

Anything in the oil? Any smell of coolant?

If your worried about the oil being thin why not get an oil analysis done and you will know for sure one way or the other

The EVIC oil PSI is LOM Lie-O-Meter, The temp is live, Your higher oil temp is lowering the EVIC reading. The question is why is your oil temp so high.

Hi and thank you for all of the tips. It turned out that it was about 2gallons low on coolant, which caused the oil temps to be out of wack.

I just bought the truck a couple months ago and I havent done an oil change yet I am planning on putting 5W-40 into it soon as I am currently working on removing the intake manifold to replace the turbo coolant lines as they are the source of my leak.
