Are you sure it's not just a bad ground or low battery? If you have a battery that is on the way out the lower power can cause sensors to get varying readings and cause messages and cel to come on.

I have a brand new battery in it . it’s a code for the exhaust. But I can’t do a regen on it

Properly seating the two connectors likely solved the root issue(s). Try driving the truck out on the freeway to get your EGT up to where the DPF can burn off soot. Driving up into the mountains (if available) works, on the freeway towing a trailer, engaging "Tow/Haul" mode, or using the shift buttons on the steering wheel to keep trans down 1 gear (RPMs above 2000) will also work. I'd do this first to try and clear the DPF and SCR before spending the thousands to replace them.
Also, make sure your air filter is good, they last about 12k mi before restriction really starts increasing.

The main thing is to drive at constant freeway speed for 30-45min to get the DPF up to temp where it can burn off the soot. The SCR will also clear with heavy footed acceleration, once the DPF flows better.

Last week I did a two hr tow. Still nothing. Truck run good . Jus in limp mode.
