Turbo problems

2014 Eco diesel with 65,000 miles. Truck is having the turbo replaced. Is this a chronic problem or can I assume that the truck will be OK now?

This is only the second time I have heard of a turbo needing replacement.

Hi I hope so, I had a problem at 63,000 miles and they noted the problem then. I was told that it's warrantied to 70K. Supposed to be finished today. I'll post the results.

First failure I'd heard of anyways. Be sure to update us with the resolution!

Turbo was replaced. Dealer had never done one, so it took a long time. Truck was in the shop from 8/18 to 8/30. It seems to be fixed under the warranty. Drove 400 miles on 8/31 with no trouble. Hope it's fixed for good. Still nervous about driving in the boondocks.

Mine was replaced at about 20,000 and now have almost 40,000 and no problems so far.

what happened high wyning noise etc mine is screaming any after market turbos cheaper

What were your symptoms. My ecodiesel is making a high pitched tone/whistle when I'm accelerating on the highway (>2000 rpm). I'm guessing that it's a turbo problem or a problem with the turbo outlet.

It's about 4 years old. The high pitched tone/whistle just started. Something changed.
