Has anyone else been held over the barrel waiting for repair parts? I took my truck in Feb. 21st and still no bolts for the tone wheel have arrived. I told them I would buy the bolts for them and they said "If you want to pay for the repairs yourself" we can do that, but if you want Ram to pay we have to use their special pkg. of bolts. Any advice on what I can do?

Have not heard of any issues with either getting the ring nor the bolts. Someone is not really giving you priority. Maybe just go to another dealerships parts department and see if they have the parts. My bet is that they do, and then have your current dealer get the parts from the other dealer.

I would be very disappointed if that were the case. I looked up the bolts on the web by part # and Mopar said they were currently out of stock. Thank you for your input. Are you in the industry?

I'm not in the industry, but my dealer has never had a problem getting any parts. I may give him a call come Monday.

Your options? IMO they are, wait, pay someone else or do it yourself or file a claim with Ram Cares..

Check on your state lemon laws. In california they have 30 days or can persue a buy back. I did this in a transmission failure after 8 weeks and got my truck repaired in the next week. GOOD LUCK 👍

I waited from Aug 2022 to Mid Jan 2023 for tone wheel parts and repair. Truck was in the shop that whole time because it was in limp mode. I was in constant contact with the service center at the dealership too.

Checked with the dealer and you are correct....sorry. Bolts for the tone wheel are on back order and currently looking at end of May at the best. Got to love the supply chain......or not.

We spent two weeks in Redding, CA waiting for parts after our tone wheel failed on I-5 just below the Siskyou pass. After getting Customer Care to expedite the tone wheel, which took a week and a half, we had to wait a further four days for the bolts.
The failure happened while we were on a travel trailer trip so we were marooned in a local RV park while we waited, our daily phone calls and trips to the dealer probably helped make us a priority with the them and Customer Care.
My advice is to get with Customer Care (get a case #) and hassle them daily, as well as the dealer.

IF you are under warranty with MoPar for this, KEEP ACTUAL RECEIPTS. They will NOT accept CCard statements for ANYTHING. You MUST have the actual receipts for Lodging, GAS, Food, Everything you may want to get paid for under the contract.
