So i have my truck at the dealer and they have to replace what they call my catalytic converter. Gonna cost me $1900.00!
Shouldn't this be covered under the settlement warranty i ask, they said no. Are they correct? I think the converter they are referencing might be the DOC but i need to verify, new to the diesel life so just getting another opinion out there. Also the truck has 64,000 miles, is a 2015 and the recall was done in May of this year, a few months before i bought the truck.
Thanks

To build on previous question as to what’s covered:

dealer said “new catalytic converter is covered under warranty, but there are two sensors on the catalytic converter that might not come loose to transfer them to new one. $1400 for them if this is the case”. My bet is they will conveniently not come loose.....

Not sure what sensors he is referring to- are they on the list above?
Thx very much

There are different warranty coverages. Depends what you have. Cadillac or Volkswagen coverage

My 2018 Ram 1500 Cat was covered by the 8 year 130,000km warranty that I believe is for all makes of vehicles
