Whats the biggest tire i can fit without rubbing or triming?

ok so I know it’s only a matter of time before i say good bye to the junk good year sr-a tires. Had them on my 16 Silverado z71, wet traction sucked even in auto4 she spun with ease. But i am hoping these make it at least 20k ones on my chevy 8-10k (had a hole in sidewall) and i got tired of putting air in it

Truck has the factory 20”s, 4x4 no air suspension. and honestly I love them. Coming from someone that cant stand a low tire profile. I will level it at some point.

I want load range E but i am wondering how much rougher would it ride? I had it on my last truck plus Z71 suspension=roughest ride ever and currently this one is so nice and smooth over any condition. Only reason for load E is i am a believer after seeing what my dad puts his trucks through on the ranch. And all the back roads my last truck has seen never had a problem

Edit or should i keep stock tire size just so i can keep the mpg up?

I have a 2016 Laramie Crew Cab. I put a 2" leveling kit on it. Yesterday I put 33/12.50/20 E load (10 ply) tires on it. It rides great!! I didn't even need spacers on the front. I'm going to put them on anyway just for peace of mind because it's really close, but I don't need to. I've heard you can run a 35/12.50/20 with no issues when using a 2" level, I just don't like that much tire in the fender. I prefer the look of the 33. Also, with the factory wheels, the 12.50 fit right out to the edge of the fender flares too. I'll post a picture later if you want to see how they look

Why not stick with the stock size and get a tire with an LT rating? There are two options that I know of probably more. One is pro comp at sport an excellent tire with a 60k warranty and is load range E. The other is bfg k02’s another excellent tire with load range D.

Post a picture if you can, i am currently kicking the idea of either keeping it stock size or going 285/60/20 or maybe the same route you did. How is the mpg looking like?

The picture is from my 16 Silverado on a 275/75/18 or 275/70/18 i cant remember sadly enough. no rubbing or any mods. It took a 2mpg hit from the swap though. And got 350miles on a tank

Adding the 2" level, and then the 33/12.50/20 tires hurt the mileage some, but that was expected. I live in the hills and close to work so I don't get a lot of actual highway driving. I'm managing to sustain about 18mpg now. It was in the 19 - 20 range before. So yeah, it dipped, but not that badly

The factory 20" Tire is actually a 33, the 33x12.5 flotation Tire is just wider, it will not give you any more profile to the sidewall. Options are also limited in those, and factory size lt tires.

I went to a 275/65 series Tire (34" or up to 34.4" as some MT treads), which is standard 20" Ford super duty tires forever so there are a million options from highway to mt and they are relatively cheap in comparison to wider tires. The tires is 1" taller, so the half inch on either side won't rub. the additional cost in the lt 275/65/20 I was also able to justify by getting 3/32 more tread depth on virtually any tire, mind you this is 3/32 of USABLE tread before getting to the wear bar passenger Tire looks. That extra available tread wear grants me 20k miles.

I put cooper stt pros and either driveway approaches or when my fender liner gets off from mud or a stick whatever the shoulder lugs can nip the inside of the liner a little bit. A less aggressive Tire would never touch it.

Mind you there are a ton of options for this size Tire, so you are not limited and can really get the tread and manufacturer of your preference.

Yeah i have.... 2016 ecodiesel i purchase 35x12.50x20LT .. with the stock wheel..what will you suggest to me?
