I have also noticed the shifting issues with the latest SFT tunes (actually been dealing with it since last fall) and I have discussed this with them and they are not acknowledging the changes. I am not sure what they are trying to accomplish but I would gladly go back to the original tunes I...
I have been using SFT tunes since they started, however, they have made changes that are causing me to shop for a new tuner. I am posting this to alert SFT owners on the four forums where I'm a member.
1 -SFT stopped including the ability to go into cruise control below the stock tune's MPH...
...Nation Wide programmers who offered a delete option. I know of a couple of local shops who do thier own programming but not advertised and may not be totally reliable as they have no telemetry to check their changes and may not have a complete grasp of enginetunes, just lots of smoke.
Good Luck.
Hey, newbie here regarding these 'tunes'......I have a '16 EcoD......about to order the SFT all in one package....but unclear on checking on/off boxes on the order page.....I noticed the "EGR Removed" box is pre-checked.....Mine is still intact so I unchecked it but am I missing something...
Hello!
I'm curious to see what input I can get from y'all regarding performance upgrades for my 2018. I have the SFT Stage 2 and trans (with Ralley Time) tunes and have done the turbo-back delete. 3.92 gearing and am 4x4.
I'm looking to gradually build a sleeper. I'm looking to lift the truck...
Thanks for your info. I was told by a mechanic at the dealership that Chrysler can see haw many times the ECU has been flashed and if it has been flashed more than what Chrysler did they would void the warranty. I would really like to tune the truck with at least a stage 1 tune as I plan on...
The short answer is no, the dealer has no way of knowing your engine was tuned if you take it out before having your vehicle serviced. The search feature is your friend!
Here are many hours of reading for you to regard before making a decision!
Thank you for the answers! Happy I decided. It to get the tuck that was billowing white smoke when it said said it was doing a regen on the highway. Didn’t know if that was normal for EcoDiesel tho because my X5 diesel you’d see a little white smoke then black ash go out the tailpipe when it was...
I want to know how you know when your EcoDiesel is doing a regen and also how do you tell when it needs a regen?
In theory, it should happen in the background with no user input. The factory programming takes care of the process without the driver even knowing. You'll only receive a message if...
Hello, I want to start a build on my eco diesel, I want some input on anyone who has done 2020 upgrades such as deletes, turbo upgrades, exhaust, and tuners. I know it is pretty new and maybe most of it may be a lot of custom work but I just want to know what others have done.
Many (including myself) will tell you that an engine tune is mandatory on these vehicles. Yes, the tune has the potential to mess up your warranty but most of the tunes are removable and replaceable and therefore undetectable to any dealer.
You will find hours of reading on this forum regarding...
...next stop for the day, pulled out my OBD and reset the codes. 75 miles later it remained error free.
After restoring stock trans and enginetunes for these recalls, I didn't remember and couldn't believe how big of a dog this truck is without GDE. In fact, if I had to drive it in its...
They put both on one for me. So now I have a useless tranny touchscreen in a drawer.
I can't remember if there was a charge or not.
I also have a useless pre touchscreen device in the same drawer
As far as I know, gde does not remove egr functionality but they do or will offer a touch screen tuner for storing tune on file and reverting back. Speaking of which I need to see if Jimmy at SKT can put my engine and trans tunes on one handheld now!
