    Cummins vs ED regeneration process

I don't know as I don't idle my trucks. Maybe someone who knows will chime in.

    Cummins vs ED regeneration process

Yes, all diesel engine makes have the same basic regen processes or procedures. They may use different triggers, timing, methods of measuring, etc. but accomplish and process the same.

    New to having an EcoDiesel

GDE is a great tune and EPA compliant, however, because it is compliant it does not shut off the EGR. Many, including me, still feel that shutting off the EGR is very important. If you want the EGR shut off look at an MRT tune via EOC. It also does not require sending in your ECU and loads...

    New to having an EcoDiesel

Shadow is correct. You cannot improve an Eco with a larger air intake. The small Eco turbo can't do anything with more air. GDE long ago tested and proved this. Your wife's Eco improvements did not come from installing that S&B.

Poor mpg 2016 eco diesel 3.0L

Thanks for your link. Based on your discussion with Motori I am changing to Quaker State Euro Full Synthetic 5W-40 (MS-12991) this month.. I've been using T-6 5w-40 and additives since new. It will be interesting to see if I get the same results as you.

    Can I get back home?

Interesting. I've had to use it and it had no effect on the ECM or anything else. The first time I was at the dealer and the tech showed me how to do it. It's a fairly common procedure, never heard of it bricking an ECM

Issues trying to do a forced regen

I don't have an answer but I do know that Alpha will not work if you also have the OBDLink MX+ app open. If you do have that app open, close it and see if that works.

    Can I get back home?

Drive it home. If it shuts you down you can restart it and continue. If the ECM gives you the "Engine Will Not Restart" message here's how to get it started. Pull out the starter relay (in the fuse box), and put the key in the RUN position. Take a short piece of wire and jump between where...

    Turbo Lag

That's a common complaint. Some are worse than others. A good tune will correct it.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit EcoDiesel

Welcome to the forum and glad the problem resolved itself. There's no way that driving with DEF alerts or messages could ruin or damage an engine, what a terrible comment. If the ECM again gives you the "Engine Will Not Restart" message and it does stop, here's the way to get it started again...

    Crank tone wheel

No hoax, my W58 recall was completed in 2021. The recall clearly states: "Some 2014-2018 MY Ram 1500 vehicles built with 3.0L Diesel engines may have the magnetic signal material delaminate from the body of the tone wheel. The suspect period began on June 13, 2014, when 3.0L Diesel engines with...

Does anyone know of the Z46 recall and when a fix is coming from Ram 2015 ecodiesel ?

That's good news. Does the new pump look like a CP3 or something new? For reference here's a picture of my 2020 3500 HO CP3

Does anyone know of the Z46 recall and when a fix is coming from Ram 2015 ecodiesel ?

I understand your dilemma. There are posts across the forums where owners with failed pumps got them replaced elsewhere or by the owner because the dealer had no parts and Ram Cares explained how to get reimbursed.
