There's a recall, VB1, that replaces the EGR cooler. The original coolers were leaking and causing intake fires destroying the vehicle. Go HERE, enter your VIN # and it will tell you if the recall has been completed or not.

TC, You know a lot more about the Ecos than me so I trust what you say. Are all the other years failing at the same rate as the recall years? From what I've read about guys reporting failures they were usually in the recall years like jdn112011. .

As TC said, it's the same. The ones that were failing came from a bad batch where apparently the adhesive was the problem. They could not identify the bad ones by VIN Number so they made the recall for the years that could have received the bad batch. Seem like the good ones are not failing...

Not familiar with SeaFoam as an additive. I suggest you use Horshots products.

It sounds like you are deleted. My reasons won't help you but here's my answer. I see no reason to disable the DEF system. It reduces emissions and has no effect on the truck's performance. When you disable it can be ruined due to crusting or clogging up. Then it is useless and will throw...

I had one on my 2006 Ford 6.0 because they were known to have casting sand debris in the block. It did a good job. I have not used one on my Ram trucks nor do I know of anyone who has. o you have a reason to add one or just being extra safe?

Geno's has locking fuel and DEF caps for your truck. So does the manufacturer but I can't remember wh that might be,
