I would also add that if it already has that many miles on, it was well taken care and not prone to accidents he issues that 10% of owners have. Those are of course the ones we hear the most about…also, it’s great from towing and has plenty of torque. Just make sure you check the specs for that...
I’ve got a 2014 with 171,000. I change the oil every 5k miles and the fuel filter every 10k miles. My recommendation to anyone buying this is make sure most of your driving is highway. I’ve had really good experience towing too. It’s a great engine just don’t drive it like a hemi.
This wound being my first issue with my truck At 157,xxx miles I got the p200a code and was noticing worse fuel milage and more DEF being used. I was able to get the intake manifold replaced last week after I located a kit at another dealership. FYI, these are on national backorder so I feel...

You are absolutely correct, I too was a former jet engine mechanic so I have basic knowledge as well, but enough to know you need to use things the way they were intended and designed to be used. This is by far the best engine I’ve had the pleasure of using.
Personally, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the ecodiesel to anybody, as long as, you drive it the way that motor is meant to be used. Meaning don’t just drive it a few miles at a time, all the time. It loves and thrives being on the highway and will do it all day long with or without a load. I...
I understand your hesitation, but I gambled on a 2014 with 94,000 miles just 4 months ago. The guy that traded it in though logged all maintenance, like fuel ups,, oil and fuel filter changes and even when he added DEF. I now have 110,000 and the only issue I had was getting bad diesel which...
