    2016 Ram

Not sure where you got 200 miles. I track my regens. With SFT tunes locally I'm getting about the same or slightly better intervals as a stock tune. My GDE tune was about the same for local driving. On highway traveling it's a different story, 100% Freeway & hiway I get between 767 mi & 1003...

    2016 Ram

I I do have considerable experience with SFT. SFT has great tunes, is customer satisfaction oriented and the lowest prices (goes on sale often) and is in the great USA. I have used the GDE tune (same as HD Diesel's ??) and find the SFT tune to be as good if not better at mpg, towing and...

    I’m new...tell me about your 2020 EcoDiesel

These kinds of problems are rampant in companies where the bean counters are now making the decisions. The days of decisions made for product quality and customer satisfaction are long gone.

    EDGE CTS 3

Same here. I checked my CTS3s in my Eco and my Cummins this am. Yep! No manual regen was listed. Was in my Eco's CTS2, I wonder why not in the CTS3.

    What's the best Engine Tune

My 2016 is said to have the DEF sensor and I run 100% distilled water with no problems on both the GDE and SFT tunes. TC Diesel has done tests to see how far you can dilute DEF and not throw a code on a stock tune. Not sure of the numbers right now.

    What's the best Engine Tune

Tow Haul mode puts you in the Rally tune. Punch it and you'll feel it. He says it is also a better towing tune

    What's the best Engine Tune

Yes, and from what I have read IMO the tunes and shutting off the EGR are the best things you can do for it. My Service Manager supports the tunes because my Eco is my daily driver with more short hops than freeway time. Short hops are this engine's nemesis.

    What's the best Engine Tune

My guess would be the one file does both engine and transmission

    What's the best Engine Tune

There's only one stock.usr file There's only one SFT ECU tune .usr file in my early system of a tuner for the ECU tune and a tuner for the TCU tune. Not sure in the new tuner where both ECU & TCU tunes are housed.

    What's the best Engine Tune

You should get it back tomorrow

Correct, I was not leaking. I didn't think the upgrade was optional, the recall said the cooler "may be susceptible to thermal fatigue". That's what was causing the fires.

    What's the best Engine Tune

Caveman, You are correct. The AEM recall was only for 2014-16.

    What's the best Engine Tune

" That would be great if the dealer would listen. " You can "opt out" of the AEM emissions upgrade and still get the new warranty, you only forfeit the check. It's your truck, the dealer has to listen. If you tell him not to do the flash he has to honor your request.

    What's the best Engine Tune

Definitely get the recall done before the tune. If you don't and you get the tune, you have to then get the recall (AEM) update tune after the recall flash. That's another $50.00 and doing the install all over again. Keep it simple - get the recall flash before the tune.

Yeah, there was a post on another forum that said the parts are on backorder again.

2016's aren't ready? They did my 2016 on May 4. They didn't call and say they were ready, I just took it in and said I was ready for all the recalls. They did 3 or 4 including the AEM emissions flash and EGR cooler (mine was not leaking).

My dealer has had no reason to count flashes. Plus, my Service Manager knows I have a tune, he supports it. He even asks me when I show up, did you return to stock? When I had the GDE tune he would remove the tuned ECU, and install my stock ECU. When finished he would have my tuned ECU put...

I was approved last year, did not do the flash as rumors said a new one was forthcoming. Did the flash 5/5 and received my check 6/18. Truck performing fine after flash, maybe a decrease in mpg but won't know because I put my SFT tunes back in.
