Yeah...I really don't like the idea of wheel spacers but I want to get my wheels/tires out about another inch. Hopefully someone can chime in with some positive input
Anyone run oil additive? In my old gas truck I was a big fan of the Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer, have not yet added it to any of my Ecodiesel changes...thoughts?
Anyone running them? Personally I never have and have always had a bad thought about them...but I am not 100% satisfied with my new wheel offset and am thinking about adding spacers.
To follow up on my repair, it ended up being a failed boost control sensor that threw the warning light. Luckily my dealership had one on the shelf and I had my truck back in 2 days. The following day after picking it up, I hooked up my 7k pound travel trailer and hit the mountains for the lake...
Still under warranty...ill let them do the leg work. Seriously considering trading it in after reading this given the amount of times its been to the dealership in the 18 months ive owned it.
Just got home from the dealership that I bought it at. Of course they're "slammed" but I need my truck Thursday for the long weekend and a camping trip. I drove it down to them, seems like there's no boost. It will not accelerate up hills. RPM's act normal, there's just no pull. Finally got it...
I have a heavy (almost maxing out) 34 foot TT and tow it with my '15 crew cab short bed Eco fairly fine. I added the Air Lift 1000 bags to the rear of my truck and that helped with smoothing the ride and removing the squat. Took about an hour to install at home. Claiming hills I see my temps...
How was the process of removing the shutter? I'm in northern California and don't see temps below 40-45 at the coldest during times that id be driving the truck. We usually stay on average between 60-80* in the winter, spring and fall
Have some slight concerns after making a trip with the new 7,500 lb travel trailer (old one was only 4k) this past weekend. We went up the mountains towards Lake Tahoe (Ice House to be specific) and I noticed my temps climbing. I have an Air Lift bag setup installed on the truck and also use a...
Just installed the Air Lift 1000 system...super easy! Drove with 10psi in the bag (not towing) and didn't really feel a difference in my "normal driving". Will be hooking up the 6k lb.travel trailer this weekend to see how it does towing. Will report back.
Side note, I also installed some Lund...
I know I can look and I'm sure I will find a thread but anyways here's the question. I just stepped up and got a new travel trailer (6,000 lbs dry, 700 lb tongue weight) and noticed my truck is squatting more than it did with our old TT. I've towed the new trailer already and it does just fine...
Anyone experience a howling sound coming from (what i assume) the fuel pump? I can hear it when the truck is running as well as when the engine is shut off and key is turned just to the accessories position. Im assuming it is the fuel pump because it sounds like it is behind/below the fuel fill...
Thank you, I agree! I stopped by the Gear Wheels booth at the SEMA show this year and they make wheels for offroad race trucks and implement the same technology in their more "everyday" wheels too. So far so good, I'm a fan of their product and they were reasonably priced too!
Yes, it was with the new wheel / tire setup and I thought about that but I had my first hunch about this issue when I was still running the stock wheel / tire setup. Just never tested it like I did this past weekend. It'll do the same when im towing, get better MPG on the throttle then CC and...
So I commute 115 miles one way to work and have been testing my MPG between using cruise control versus keeping my foot steady on the throttle, I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed what I noticed.
When NOT using CC I can get an average from my driveway to work 26-28 MPG at a steady 70-75mph...
