Ya well he was resting on the driver side bed rail shooting over the passenger side...the bed didn't show up in scope picture but of course the barrel is a couple inches lower. Unfortunately as you can see in the first picture it's not just the plastic cap the bullet splintered and cracked out...
I have to say I have been surprised I have only ever had 1 forced regen and that was all the way back at 1000 miles. I drive mostly city and my daily trip to work consists of start the truck let it warm up about 30 seconds to a minute and then go down the road 1.5 miles to turn into the parking...
Glad to have you here...Shawn is definitely the guy in the know on the ecodiesels he has more miles and hours than probably anyone in the nation and lucky for us is very in tune with what flaws they may have.
So my poor truck a couple of weeks ago while up hunting. My cousin was leaned over the drivers side bed rail aiming slightly down hill over the passenger side of the truck shot at a buck and instead of killing his deer attempted to kill my ram. I'll attach a picture here pretty quick...
If you were to run the gde and choose to keep your computer does your odometer stick with yoy or is it stored in the ecu. And would that in essence be a way around the warranty game or will any of the other controllers store any proof of the swap?
Ya I among most would prefer to just see a quality cooler put in its place. But I have a good friend of mine who is a 6 liter powerstrokes specialist and those kits do really work
So shawn how have you skated through so many miles without an oil cooler failure? And also what were any gains in efficiency etc. That you saw in your intake you designed? And will it be feasible to remove every 2 years and replace with stock in order to pass CA smog
This is typical with a lot of high pressure common rail injection systems. Because they run such high pressures and are normally snap together fittings on plastic tubes they are replaced as a kit any time they are disconnected. And the lines go through the valve covers as the injectors are...
So I have contacted alliant power to show interest in having an aftermarket oil cooler produced for the eco diesel and I urge all of you too as well. Of we show enough interest and can prove there may be a market out there for this hopefully they will build one. They have a contact us section on...
I absolutely love my truck it has been through hell and back already in its 6k and 6 months of life since I ordered it...I have the granite crystal but am on dirt roads etc a lot...it shows dirt pretty bad...kind of wish I had gone for the silver or the prarie pearl....and a new addition the ram...
Interesting....don't remember seeing one of those...although I was on the %1 under deal...but poor dealer gave me the first order print out showing holdbacks...so let's just say I got a lot more off lol
Yes they are easy to talk down but always let it lapse first...they don't seem to haggle much until you prove you mean business....I think it's 100 per year for my wife's car. I probably won't renew it on my truck..the only real upside is you always have reception....
Mine has been work...quaking at a tractor dealership is crazy this time of year. On a side note less than 3k miles after having the oil cooler replaced on a friends eco it has failed again this time with nearly no oil left in the engine. There has got to be a solution
